Cargill, Nouble and Bond released

Postby Garawa » Tue Jan 10, 2017 2:37 pm

Pennock has decided not to renew the second half of Cargill's loan which is a real surprise to me. He was the one defender that looked capable. Nouble's short term deal has expired and not been renewed which I can understand and Bond was injured. QPR can recall JET if they require but if not, he will remain until the end of the season.

Amazed by letting Cargil go. Has Pennock seen him play? Definitely the best central defender in recent games. He must have other plans.

I think he has players in mind to bring in but I struggle to see how much better / cheaper they can be! Here is how Cargill's figures compare to his fellow defenders.

I`m surprised that we have let Cargill leave as he did improve our defence, and was involved in 5 wins and one draw in his 10 games.I would guess we`re looking at a player on lower wages to come in.I thought Nouble would stay until May as well, for an option.
