I bet we get someone like Peterborough away, .................and loose, not trying to be negative but that's the way the season is going.

After being drawn away at Yeovil Town in The First Round Of The League Cup and we have been drawn away at home against Stevenage, Colchester United and now Crawley Town in The Football League Trophy, I really want a home tie in The First Round Of The FA Cup.

Ideally a home tie against lower league opposition and a tie that gives us the easiest passage through to The Second Round, no game is easy but we stand a better chance progressing if we have a home tie.

I hate to say told you so, but at least it's at home and NOT Peterborough away. Then after the game Scally can say something stupid like now we can concentrate on Promotion as he introduces for the 385 time in as many years, ......, Ladies and Gentleman, Boys and Girls, Lads and Lassies (dam I should have been a Red Coat at Butlins) YOUR NEW GILLINGHAM FC MANAGER, ..................ROLL OF DRUMS PLEASE MR. GARAWA.............MY FRIEND AND YOURS .......MR ANDY MESSINGHISPANTS, ER SORRY WHAT oh yeah , MR. ANDY HESSELETHWAITE , AH HELL YOU KNOW WHO I MEAN.................. OUR LAD ANDY, ..........................and his boy plays here to you know, got em both on the cheap in a package deal.
God help us, I wonder if there is any room on the Maidstone band wagon, lol. You watch they will beat Stevenage then draw Brisol City, in the second round, lol.

At least we are guaranteed a Kent side in the second round after Bromley and Dartford drew each other (they must be as sick as pigs). If you are right and Maidstone make it through (I can see them getting a replay ond doing it on the 3G) it will be me that is sick as a pig of 2 Kent sides are in Round 2 but one of them not being Gillingham...........what are the odds on that?

Never mind, we've got a great team.......of lawyers. Scally is determined, it seems, to drag the club 's reputation down to match the results. I'm sure the FA is hugely impressed with his latest antics; he makes Rio Ferdinand sound articulate.

Just how many cases has this great team of lawyers actually won when representing the club/PDS ? :? :?

I think the answer is probably none. When Scally had to Pay Pulis £70k he described it as a 'victory' and 'vindication' of his version of events. That's a bit like saying we lost 5-0 but we were the better side.

I am not expecting a big gate for this match, Bristol City won't bring many supporters to Priestfield Stadium and many of our own supporters might not bother turning up believing that this is going to be a walk in the park for Bristol City.

http://www.otib.co.uk/index.php?/topic/165619-who-said-gillingham/ - Mind you, if you thought we were depressed about drawing Bristol City at home, you should have a look at the comments on The Bristol City Fans Forum, they are convinced that Gillingham are going to win.

This is also the third time in three season's we have played Bristol City in a cup competition, The Last Two Season's we played Bristol City in The First Round Of The League Cup and Gillingham won at Ashton Gate in the 2012 / 2013 season but we lost at Priestfield Stadium last season.

Totally agree Gary. Anyway I would rather watch at the Home of The Shouting Men than at The Home of The Semtex Warriors.

I think most fans start the season optimistic, full of enfuzeyasm and if things are going well and the team is in the promotion race then the fans are happy. How anyone is supposed to be rar rar towards a team sitting in the relegation zone in October beats me, especially a team like GFC that are there every couple of years and have been for decades. Don't worry we must have a home game against ..( jeeezz who's worse than us ), coming up soon, that should be worth a point.
