A big game with the Teams below cutting the gap,and with us back at home.Crewe will make it difficult as they`re fighting for their lives. We need to play to our best and make sure we get the win.We still have enough quality in the side to win games. As long as we don`t give Crewe a two goal lead, then we should be ok.

Team? I would play Garmston, but reckon Chicksen will come straight back in.I think Lotf will start, but Hessenthaler deserves a run and played well on Saturday,so Morris to miss out? Jackson if fit would step back in.

Crewe can't make this game difficult for Gillingham, there poor, in fact there pathetic, and there going to be a Second Division team next year, which is good because that means we wont have to travel half way to China to play them.
They have won SIX games out of 35, lol, lol, SIX , thats a third of what GFC have won and they leak goals like a bucket with a hole in it. It's going to be a slaughter, the ref will probably cancel the second half , call on the FA to let him use the mercy rule to save their keeper from getting a bad back picking the ball out of the net.
Gills are going to win by at least three goals, what have Crewe done this week to suddenly become European Champions, have Ronaldo and Messie come in on loan for the rest of the season ??
Once the Gills score in the first fifteen minutes Crewe will have to start throwing people forward, the Gills will have four up front and it will be like shooting fish in a barrel, tied with our highest score of the season for the Big Blue Machine, Gillingham 5-1 Crewe.
If you haven't answered old whats his names weekly quiz yet, either go for zero, or 85 minutes, by then the Gills will have pulled all their goal scores off ,and put the kids from the academy on for their first taste of proper footie.

19 Crewe Alexandra 10 1 7 2 2 1 11 12 -1 10 1.00 D D L L D D
20 Gillingham 10 2 3 5 2 3 11 14 -3 9 0.90 D W L L L D

Crewe are really poor! they've only got 1 more point than us over the last 10 games and conceded 2 less goals.
This will be a tough one.

If Glasgow can't get his team UP for this game against one of the tomato cans of the division, in fact one of the dented sale price tomato cans of the division, then he needs to get on the next bus back to Newport.
Last night both Burton and more importantly Coventry both gagged a maggot ( thank you ) and with 11 to go this is really a chance to kick this pig into top gear.
Forget the past, this is a new season, a playoff season of 11 games against some of the better teams in the division, Saturday is the day to kick this "new season" off with a big win to bring the crowds into Priestfield to back the Gills promotion push. GO BIG BLUE.

But Baron, they have scored in 16 of their last 18 games and scored 2 or more in 4 of their last 8 away games. Write them off at your peril, our record so far against these sides at the bottom is atrocious.

If this game was back in August we would probably win it 4 or 5-0,but at the moment it will probably be a narrow win if we do win.

Garawa,
You have taken my post in the complete opposite of my intention, saying how poor Crewe are was very tongue in cheek.

over the last 10 games they are ahead of us in the form table, they've conceded less goals' lost only 2 games compared to 0ur 5, gained more points, I definitely wasn't writing them off.

They couldn't hit their butts with their hands while chewing gum, they have won ONE game in the last fifteen which is why they are DOOMED, DOOMED I say to DIVISION TWO, never to be seen again by the MIGHTY BIG BLUE MACHINE.
YES they have had some good draws against some good teams since November, and GFC since the Blackpool game have well what shall we say, well they have sucked big time, but this is it, this the the start of something BIG, GILLINGHAM FC are going to be in the Playoffs and there going to beat Millwall at Wembley to go into the almost top division.
Bit sad that Scally has not bought in an on loan proven goal scorer from one of the London based reserve teams in the Premier Division for the next month, hope this doesn't bite us in the butt a bit later on.

1066, if we get promotion "it will" be the top division, the English Football League only consist of 3 division with Championship being the top one.
I believe there is a fairies united league affiliated to the English Football Authority but that's a different league completely.

Any news on the injury front? no miraculous recoveries to report? We need some of our injured to get back on the pitch asap. It must be six weeks since Egan and Dack were injured surely? Its like when 3 minutes injury time at 1-0 up always takes about a fortnight!!

Been listening to the World News, some report from Israel about some guy upsetting the government there, talk of crucifying him in a couple of weeks, , but he said he doesn't care he will be up and about in three days so what's taking so long for these Gills players to get fit again I don't know ??
OK God I want you to know Mr Lidbit writted this and put it under my name, honest.

Baron, I took your post to be that Crewe were poor but we are even worse! Recent form is one thing but surely class must tell in this one given that we score a lot and they concede a lot. If we don't win this one then we will really struggle for the rest of the season. Crewe have found a habit of sneaking draws so we need to score early and command the game for once!

I think Gillingham will line up as follows.......................

----------------------------------Nelson---------------------------------------
A.Morris------------El-Abd---------------------Ehmer--------------B.Dickenson
----------------------------------Wright------------------------------------------
----------------Hessenthaler---------------------Loft-----------------------------
---------------------------------Williams-------------------------------------------
-------------------Samuel-----------------------Norris---------------------------

Subs: G.Morris (GK), Chicksen, Garmston, Osadebe, McGlashan, List, Donnelly

I am not sure on Ryan Jackson's availability and if Ryan Jackson is out injured, then I would stick with the same back five that earned a valuable point against Scunthorpe United and try and not make any changes to the back five, with Aaron Morris at right back, the midfield four really does pick itself and I have gone with Luke Norris and Dominic Samuel up-front - Luke Norris has to play the full ninety minutes as he is the only striker Gillingham have got who can hold the ball and give Gillingham a physical presence in the final third.

We're now at the stage of the season where points and not performances matter, so if Gillingham scrap a 1-0 win tomorrow then I would gladly take it, in the reverse fixture, Rory Donnelly scored a sensational goal in added time to earn Gillingham a valuable win so Crewe Alexandra will not be a easy side to play against considering that they have drawn seven of there last ten league matches.

Here's hoping that Gillingham can get back to winning ways tomorrow - COME ON THE GILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!

A very important three points against a spirited Crewe side.I thought for the first 25 minutes we were really good and deserved our 1-0 lead.Just before half-time out of nowhere their player Bakayogo hit a great shot out of nowhere that had Nelson beaten, but luckily hit the post.In the second half Crewe had more of a go and as they attacked they left gaps which we couldn`t punish until late on.Their young player Cooper looked their best player beating men, decent passes to players, and a few shots.I felt nervous as they showed a lot of fight and I felt they would equalise. We got the all important second goal just after 60 minutes and it looked like Norris scored, but they gave it to their defender Guthrie.Crewe still had a go and had a goal ruled out for offside which was a relief.Just into added time the moment Gills fans have been waiting for happened as Josh Wright slotted home his first Gills goal to wrap up a good win.

Three nil for me was harsh on Crewe,I would say our quality shown through today.Crewe passed the ball really well, but just missed that cutting edge upfront. You can see they have a lot of fight, and why they have beaten a few of the teams at the top.Three important points for us to open up the gap again below.MOTM Dickenson.
