Former player Tom William's wife is also in there. Strangely Justin Edinburgh isn't despite being totally free! Sounds a bit like the rest of Europe in 1992 when Yugoslavia was being destroyed ,or today when Syria is being destroyed, or ,well not much point in going on, and as for the Kenedys they were Irish and so was half of Boston and the south side of Chicago so what would you expect ?
I got into a fight only a couple of years ago on a golf course in Chicago because some Irish 60 year old guy as we came off of the 9 th green , said he didn't like the " mudda furkin English "oh and by the way you know all those Ex-pats that lived and work in places like Dubai, during the 1990's well most of them had to donate a percentage of their salary to the PLO (Palestine Liberation Organisation) remember them , but ssshhh we must not mention that.

I'm by no means an apologist for US foreign policy but, although it's true the USA chose its time to enter both World Wars the truth is we would have lost without them . If you look at the Western Front in WW1 the Germans occupied more ground when they surrendered than they did in any other year of the war. It was the arrival of American troops and Armaments which convinced German High command that they had no option but to sue for peace.
Similarly in WW2, D-Day without the Americans would have been unthinkable.

The Trump phenomenon is more readily understandable if you have spent time in small town USA. I've had experience recently of North Carolina, my daughter lived there for three months and the people are not part of the 'global village' in any sense.
Their outlook is entirely insular, naive and simplistic. I don't mean they are stupid, but their exposure to the rest of the world is almost non existent. Fewer than 10 % own a passport and 'international news' is restricted to showbiz. If Beckham and the Pope died on the same day , his holiness wouldn't get a mention. If you think social media is more trustworthy than news media you'll believe just about any crap that's out there.

I agree with Rimshot, but don't forget, America only came into ww2 because Japan attacked Pearl Harbour. Evidence suggests Churchill kept the attack secret to change American opinion on entering the war.Thank God they did come in, but Australia's been going to war along side USA ever since, Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan. I think it's time we kept our troops at home and let some other countries help out.

I agree ,hell let Syria sort it's own problems out, what good is that country to us anyway, they hardly export anything to the UK, a few seeds and a bit of cotton what good is that ??
After all there has only been over 400,000 innocent people killed there since 2011,so what does it matter if another hundred thousand men,women and children get murdered , the worlds over populated anyway,let them deal with their own problems like we did back in the old days when Knights were bold.
Of course the European nations did a real good job of solving the Yugoslavian problem back in the 90's didn't they, lol,took a US brokered peace agreement to settle that little fist fight didn't it, but lets be serious there was only 100,000 people killed and what good was Yugoslavia apart from a bit of tourism in the first place ?
