Hope it's on; last thing we need is fixture congestion. Seems like months since the last home game!

Weather has been quite nice today but the club have stated they were right to postpone the AFC Wimbledon game as the Gordon Road side of the pitch was still frozen this afternoon. I guess a sustained low temperature might need a couple of days to properly defrost and at this time of year that side of the ground doesn't get any sun.

I missed the Rochdale match as it was my 40th so I saw the Northampton game on the 12th November, then the MK Dons game on the 17th December and lastly Oxford on the 2nd of January. Weirdly we really have only had one more cancelled in that time. Can't work out why we have so few games. Despite all that we've played 3 more away games, the only side that have, and it's only the 2nd home in 6 and the 4th in 12 if it goes ahead!

I thought years ago we installed under soil heating ?? Don't the ground staff have a few tarps then can lay on the pitch when there is going to be a frost ??

Replaced the pitch but need Premier League income for under soil heating! The covers will prevent air frost and frozen pitches if it rains or snows then freezes but a ground frost, especially a sustained one, it's useless. In fact it can do more harm then good as it insulates the grass stopping the sun from warming it and ends up keeping the cold in unless removed.

there have been so few home games recently that my wife has started to ask when they are to get rid of me rather than complain because there have been too many. I'm sure in a couple of weeks we will have something like four home games in seven days! Not good this season; no routine to get into.

Mine is starting to wonder if I was really going before as well! And why I no longer do! Although it feels like a lot of games cancelled, it is still just the one! If the Wimbledon match is scheduled for the 7 Feb, 7 Mar or the 11 Apr then we will get 3 home games in a row. If it is on any other date we won't notice anything (providing this game goes ahead of course). Bizarre scheduling and I think the missing home game over Christmas was the cause of us playing so many more away games than at home.

I`m hoping to get to my first game since the 17 December, but I have my doubts with the pitch likely to still be frozen. We want the momentum from the Sheffield Utd result to take us into this game,so lets hope it goes ahead. It`s a big game for Pennock and the club.A win would move us a bit further away from the bottom 4.

This is a difficult one to call, Shrewsbury have signed 6 new players I believe, Ladapo already started showing his worth.
Hopefully the form shown at Sheffield will continue and improve for this one, I'm hoping we can start the game well and not rely on a second half fight back.

They sure as hell are not the best away team in the division, they have a bit of trouble scoring but they don't let in that many. I hope the firm of Love Pennock all Day don't actually think we played well last week at Sheffield, by all accounts we were absolute crap but came away with a point (thank you the Gods of football),I think we will need a better showing this week to take the points.

Well we sure as hell showed them who we are didn't we ?? Gills had half as many shots on target and less shots off target, I guess I now am convinced the team Glasgow put together is just pure F' ing rubbish and the stop gap team we bought in to manage this bunch of losers who promptly got rid of the best players are exactly that, a cheap Scally finger in the dyke until we can find some poor sucker to take the job on full time.
Hopefully with Coventry all ready looking pretty much DOOMED there are only 3 places left in the red zone ,so perhaps we will be able to end up avoiding relegation this season if we can win a couple more and draw against the bottom teams ?? I bet the Coventry owners feels real smart after they held out that season when the owners of the ground put the rent up and they went off to play in Nth'p'ton in front of 3 ,000 fans, lol, yeah that showed 'em didn't it, lol ?

I thought the performance was better, but still a long way to go.
Shrewsbury are much improved with 7 new signings in January, so don't be deceived by their league position. Whilst we need the wins, we didn't lose, which is a step forward. Fitness levels are starting to look better, and the win will come very soon.

Thanks baronnight, nice to hear that after 60% of the season has come and gone the boys are getting fit, what do you think 100 % fit and ready to go for the last three or four games of the season, lol ?
The Shrews sign half a team to get them out of trouble, Gillingham FC sitting much to near near the foot of the table for any ones liking sign an Albatross for a goal keeper from Prague and a striker from Red Star Belgrade who appears to have been on loan to Aberdeen since 2015, who has played 7 times and seems to be absolutely clueless when it comes to scoring goals,so lets hope he can fly down each wing and put in pin point crosses onto our boys heads .
On the surface this appears to be one of the craziest signings ever, perhaps Josh Parker is paying Scally to appear for the Gills ?
