So finishing higher in League 2 is a better outcome ; excuse me if I'm missing something here but surely any safe place in League 1 has to be better

Well like people on this site have said for sometime , Division One and Division Two are much of a much*ness ,and I guess Luton proved that this year, I just said I think Gillingham will finish higher in Division One than Walsall will in Division Two,or Dover will in The Nation League,or Bournmouth will in the Premier, or Millwall will in the Championship, or,need I go on to make my point ??

But your point is flawed - last season Walsall were a small fish in a big (gish) pond and next season will be a big (gish) fish in a small pond. It's always going to be easier to assert yourself over the bottom feeders.

I am sure it is, but to say Walsall are big(ish) fish is like saying GFC are big (ish) fish, they are both tiddlers in the river EFL, I just hope this year we become keepers and go in the net with the other two keepers and end up in The Championship Division.
