Saturday 9th
Match day - GILLS v Walsall (League 2)

Sunday 10th
Glenn Morris won 3 fouls and conceded 1 in the match against Walsall. He won 8 in his final 29 matches last season and these followed just 5 fouls won from his previous 77 matches for the club.

Monday 11th
Shad Ogie won 6 fouls against Walsall beating the season-high of 5 in any Gills game last season (achieved by Ogie among others). It was the most since the 2023/4 season when Ogie also won 6 fouls in a match - 44 games apart for Shad.

Tuesday 12th
Match day - GILLS v AFC Wimbledon (EFL Carabao Cup, Round 1)

Wednesday 13th
The Walsall win extended the Gills unbeaten league run to 14 games, their most successful run in the league for 5 and half years, and the Wimbledon draw made it 15 unbeaten in league and cup for the first time since April 2011. They are just 2 away from equalling the club league and cup record.

Thursday 14th
Robbie McKenzie hit the bar against Wimbledon, the first time he had done so since October 2021. In the previous 4 seasons, the Gills had hit the woodwork 58 times with McKenzie striking the frame of the goal for just 1 of them. The Gills have hit the woodwork 3 times in 10 home games.

Friday 15th
On Tuesday the 12th of August, the Gills draw against Wimbledon made it 3 unbeaten matches (excluding penalties) from the opening 3 matches. They last achieved 3 in 3 without defeat at the start of a season in 2023 - also the 12th of August - a run that last for 5 games.
