[Tue 14th April 2026] EFL Sky Bet League 2: Cheltenham Town v Gillingham FC
Opposition Manager: Steve Cotterill. Matchday Team: Joe Day, Jonathan Tomkinson, [c] James Wilson, Robbie Cundy, Arkell Jude-Boyd (George Nurse), Luke Young, Jake Bickerstaff (Ryan Broom), Isaac Hutchinson, Harry Ashfield (Josh Martin), Jordan Thomas (George Miller), Josh Davison (Mo Faal)
Opposition League Position: Sky Bet League 2 (19th)

Attendance: 3,161 (235)

(19.45) Kick Off [ 3 - 4 - 1 - 2 ]
(19.48) Bickerstaff tricks his way around the Gills defenders and forces Morris into a parry. The rebound would be easily slotted home if it weren't for Gale being perfectly placed to clear.
(20.02) GOAL! Cheltenham Town 0-1 Gillingham: Hale
(20.07) A beautiful dissecting through ball by Dack is perfectly weighted for the run in the penalty area by Little. All he needs to do it take a touch round the 'keeper and tuck it home but he gets the ball caught between his feet and Day gathers strongly.
(20.08) Incredible double save on the goal-line by Day denies the Gills a second goal from two quick chances.
(20.10) Amazing curling shot by Dack on the far left hand edge of the nestles brilliantly into the bottom right corner of the net. The goal is ruled out however for what appears to be a very minor touch from Vokes in an offside position.
(20.12) Hale charges forward again, goes for power and Day has to stand strong to parry it over for a corner.
(20.30) 2 minutes will be added to the half.
(20.32) Half time 0-1 [46:53]

(20.48) The second half kicks off.
(20.53) A Gills long free kick is headed away but Masterson sends it back in. Smith volleys it goalward and Day pulls off a brilliant reaction point blank save before a defender clears deep inside in the 6 yard box with McKenzie steaming in.
(21.05) GOAL! Cheltenham Town 1-1 Gillingham: Hutchinson
(21.33) The 4th official indicates a minimum of 8 minutes will added.
(21.34) Khumbeni receives the ball on the edge of the box. He takes a touch and blazes high and wide with his left foot from a good angle.
(21.38) GOAL! Cheltenham Town 2-1 Gillingham: Faal
(21.42) FULL TIME 2-1 [100:01]
