Chairman's thoughts.

Postby lidbid46 » Sat Oct 19, 2013 9:05 am

Have you seen the Chairman's thoughts on the website? Makes interesting reading, not least the fact that he has had 45 applications for the manager's job and the first one came in only 4 minutes after the news of MA's sacking was released. That's pretty amazing!!

Catching up with things after a while away from the internet. Interesting thoughts from PT about Charlie Allen as well. I hope the fans treat him a little better than they have over the last few weeks as well. Whatever has happened is not his fault I don't suppose.

Not quiet all applications, first couple of dozen letters were from MA begging for his job back, one was from Mrs. S. saying she could do a better job than MA, one was from Peter Taylor saying he was available, and thanks for considering him, a managerial position at GFC will get him into the Guinness Book of Sports Records for the person with the most managerial positions in ten years.
Another was from an old friend of GFC, Tony Pullis saying he would be proud to take over the reigns at GFC , followed quickly by another one from Tony Pullis saying **** you, sending out so many applications I forgot I had already worked for you , one was from Beatie at Aldershot saying he feels sure he will be available soon and with the rite backing he could do the job if only he was given the chance, about ten came from managers in the bottom half of the Blue Square , and three were from me explaining that I still thought Brian Yeo and Mel Machine could team up to get us out of the cellar if I was given the managers job.
Maybe there was only one or two REAL applications , apart from mine.?

Perhaps the chairman would like to give us the benefit of his thoughts agin now. In particular what plans he has to strengthen the squad since it is quite clear recent results have nothing to do ,specifically, with manager/ player friction.
We are not good enough to stay in the division.
