Port Vale today

A reasonable first half in which I genuinely believe we deserved to be in front; Vale offered very little but I'm not sure what happened during half time. Both teams were totally different in their approach and tactics - sadly for us Vale's changes worked.

We shipped a goal within minutes of the restart and it looked as if any confidence we had just went. It really was only a matter of time before Vale scored again. Prior to the second goal Vale put a man in front of Kedwell which rendered any outlet ball to him useless; try as he did he just couldn't get the ball

We didn't start to look dangerous again until the last 10 minutes or so and I don't think the score/result was unreasonable

That sounds about right, I was encouraged by the by the way we still might have sneaked a draw, but it seemed I watched four different teams yesterday. Talk about a game of two halves.

It did sound like a game of two halfs. If only we could have got the second when we had chances to do so.The second half we conceded straight after the restart and was right up against from then on.Saying that German had a chance late on,as did Legge.I would have loved a point, but it was gutting to lose the game after leading at Half-time.Carlisle at home next is a game we need to be looking at winning.
