Carlisle (H)

Scally has said that he will make a decision on the New Manager before the Sheffield Utd game,so Taylor will know he will have to win this game to boost his chances, aswell as beat either Brackley or Barrow in the FA Cup next saturday. We need a win against Carlisle as a defeat could put us back in the bottom four.I will go for 2-1 victory for us.

With the way they started they looked doomed by the end of August. They have picked up a bit but have looked vulnerable recently so its another must win for me as they will be much harder tests. Of course going out of all 3 cups at the first go isn't acceptable either, especially to lower league opposition at home so it has to be 2 wins. For me, 2-1 against Carlisle and 4-1 v Brackley.

What Team can you see Taylor playing tomorrow? I think he will play a similar Team to other games with Kedwell up top on his own.I would like to see Cody get back in the Team soon as he will be one of our top earners, and I hope him being on the bench will give him a kick up the backside.

Team?

Nelson
Harriman,Legge,Barrett,Martin
Lee,Linganzi,Hollands
Weston (wings) Whelpdale
Kedwell

I reckon that would pretty much be the side however I would still like to get Cody firing. I had a few comments about playing Kedwell behind Cody in a 4-2-3-1 formation such as the one we used at the last home game. This seemed to shock people playing an inform striker "in midfield" but it isn't that at all. Rooney plays there for Man Utd, Anelka for West Brom, Berbatov for Fulham, Mata for Chelsea, Michu for Swansea to name just a few - hardly wasted in midfield! With his hard work rate he would help to shore up the defense somewhat but still have the ability to push up and support Cody when attacking. His through balls for Cody are exactly what he needs to get scoring and he would also have the added benefit of having balls crossed in from Whelps and Weston. We cannot afford to have Cody bench-warming much longer, we need two potent strikers both able to score.

We do need another striker who can score...I did say before the season started that Cody and Bayo combined goals would be less than Kedwell!

After yesterday I think Keds should play at centre back - he was awesome for the last ten minutes there!

I hardly think its fair to judge peter taylor on the carlisle game and then a cup game.

We won the carlisle game but we were awful. The first half was one of the worst 45 minutes of football I have seen at priestfield. So we sneak a win, then if we beat a really really low team in the cup taylor gets the job. Would like to have thought a lot more thought would have gone into it than that

We might not have played very well but we won the game ; 3pts is 3pts and the history books won't distinguish between a good win and a win. Whoever gets the job has to work with the current establishment. Lets just bank yesterdays win.
