I agree with all of this but; there did seem to be a lady who appeared upset by the actions of the Burton fans and she moved across and was then attended to by other stewards and officials. I wonder whether the Burton fans were quite as harmless as they appeared. Also, if they were allowed to continue waving their scarves etc, would that have set a precident? Imagine if we got Swindon, Millwall, Charlton etc in the cup and the same thing happened - not sure the atmosphere would remain as friendly as it did. And, what if Burton had scored first so that we were not winning? Again, not sure the RE would have been quite so friendly!! Just trying to look from all sides!!

We thought that woman was with the Burton fans and trying to plead their case after the stewards moved in!

Surely the stewards could have just moved them to the empty block next door - that way everyone gets to see the whole game. Thought it reflected badly on the Club and was unwarranted.

I think that's where common sense comes in Lidbid.

Blaming Millwall was a pathetic excuse. We might hate them but I'm pretty sure they don't give two hoots about us unless we play each other. I do feel that even with packages the away fans should be put together. It wouldn't feel right celebrating in a "home" stand surrounded by away fans.

Just enjoying the ride!! It's great to see us getting such positive coverage from independent media and scoring shedloads of goals too . Can this be Gillingham ?

When that happens Lidbid, the stewards stand and watch. Far easier to show muscle with a few OAP's.

And that's the rub; whenever we have a large amount of visiting fans with an attitude the stewards stay well away and then resort to the; "it is down to the visiting stewards" rubbish. One of the reasons I don't enjoy attending matches so much is the stewarding and the clubs attitude to a lot of its long term fans.
