What's the weather like in Gillingham at the moment. Any possibility of a waterlogged pitch? I guess the club will want to get this match on at all costs with the TV money available..........

Looks like a lot of digging and sand was required! In the end I thought the pitch was good, cut up a little in the middle area but not too soft. I bet had the TV cameras not been there it may have fallen to the weather which begs the question how many games get called off un-necessarily. But then I suppose they always have to think about the travelling supporters. I don't think we will ever solve that problem unless games start getting played to only home fans and under a roof!
