The way forward

So Kedwell can play on with a managed injury until either we have enough points to be effectively safe or the condition worsens. We have also chosen not to extend the loans of Hollands and Daniels so, with Hewitt coming in to replace Daniels and Marriott possibly at best replacing the loaned out German or at worst covering for Kedwell, it looks pretty much as if we are a touch lighter in numbers than we were over Christmas!

Of course we may bring in another face or two and we may have injured players returning which will bolster the squad but recent results have been encouraging and the points perhaps could/should have been even more. Personally I think Kedwell should have his op now. Unless the Stevenage game is re-arranged for a date soon, we currently have no Tuesday fixtures until the second week of March. We face a trip this month to Brentford and I don't think anyone expects points from there so would it be better to use an in-form Cody along with getting the most from Marriott's loan and allow Kedwell to recover for a vital run-in instead? It has been mentioned that Keds will need to be rested but I fear too much chopping and changing will lose some momentum we have gained of late. Do we really need to rely on a half-fit Danny Kedwell to win games for us when Cody is the most in form striker we have and another with fantastic credentials?????

I don't like that we have postponed Kedwell`s hernia operation.I watched the Wolves game and didn`t feel we saw Kedwell at his best,I also worry that he could make it worse by playing through the injury.I would rather Kedwell had his operation, and we can then sign a Striker on loan until he has recovered.Taylor said before the Wolves game that he would bring a Striker in,so I think we should do that rather than causing potential problems.
