Sheffield United (H)

With Sheffield Utd playing in the FA Cup on Sunday,we play Sheffield Utd on Wednesday night which makes a change.I`m sure they will get a real tough game against Nottingham Forest, which will hopefully help us.The long rest we have had should make us the fresher Team.Sheffield Utd have struggled all season surprisingly, but under Clough you can see them starting to improve. They currently sit in the bottom 4,but have 3-4 games in hand.We should be in confident mood after the win at Carlisle last Saturday, and we should not fear Sheffield Utd as we have been the better Team this season, and beat them at Bramall Lane earlier in the season.Hopefully we wont continue the WLWLWLW run of results we have been having lately, another win would be nice to break the sequence.I will be at the game, and I`m looking forward to the game under the floodlights.

What Team would you play? New signing Ryan Inniss will be available, but I imagine he will be on the bench for now.Taylor says we have a strong side available for the game.Hewitt will be available after his one game suspension,so Harriman should return to right Midfield.

There a bad away team, Forest will put two or three past them today they will be pretty down in the dumps by the time they turn up here Wednesday. We need the 3 points from this game, 2/3rds of the season already gone 51 seems to be the magic number and this win will put us in the 40's.

They came from behind to beat Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup 3-1.They should be confident for the game on Wednesday, but so should we with us winning three home games in a row.

They are very bizarre. Capable of beating sides in higher divisions including Premier League sides away from home, they really are struggling. I thought they would pick up but it hasn't looked likely so far. I'm sure they will wish some of those results had been league results instead and I wonder if it will remain a distraction or spur them on. I guess we will find out Wednesday.

Curiouser and curiouser, strange game this football. Always thought that one day Clough will be a very good manager, getting the chance to manage a Premier team, until then lets hope he gives the players Monday off and when they come if for practice Tuesday all they are talking about is the all Steel City Cup game and they forget all about Wednesdays game, lol.

A disappointing result and performance overall.I thought in the first half we played well, but the second half we ran out of ideas. The game was pretty even and I don't think Sheffield Utd were a decent side, and you can see why they`re down there.Their goal you could tell would happen as they hit the post, and we panicked too much and didn`t get the ball away.Coady`s goal was still a good strike in the bottom corner.I thought we were too predictable in the second half, and we never really tested their goal. The atmosphere turned on the ref who seemed to give them every decision. One that I could not believe was Cody turned Maguire, and because Cody was going to pull away he fell down and yelped to get a free kick.

I was hoping we would take something from the game with two tough games coming up.A defeat puts a bit of pressure on us to win one of them I feel. The Win Lose sequence continues again,so hopefully Oldham will be a win for us.
