Coventry are there for the taking, there playing like cr*p ,their fans won't travel to home games and this is the time to kick ass GFC.
Going to need 50/51 to stay up, 3 points from Coventry a point at Bradford and 3 from Crewe or is it Carlisle and were there, First Division football next season at Priestfield with a promotion challenge, a cup run and happy fans.
Taylor MUST give these guys a swift kick up the behind and get them started from the first whistle, teams we have coming up in a couple of weeks will bang 5 in against us if we keep starting this slow.

I don't think we can go on points. No sides this season are being beaten big time at the bottom of the league and all sides are sneaking wins here and there so the number of points may be more. We have winnanble home games and as long as we manage a few of those we should be OK.

Only once in the last ten years, ('06 Torquay,) has a side been relegated with 51 points, that will do for me, and if the team does not have 51 painted in 6 foot high numbers on the locker room wall I think something is a miss.
We all need a target to aim for in life, sales numbers, production numbers , 51 is our magic number , and I am glad the teams in the relegation zone have all played about the same number of games as us, don't like it when the teams below us have games in hand.

I think you are right. We shouldn't aim for 51 though, set a target for 55 at least to ensure we are comfortably safe instead of enduring yet another last minute panic to see if we are safe or not. After all no-one thought we could get relegated the last time we were in this league yet somehow we did.

The last time a side was relegated from this division on the 50 point plus mark was us! 50 or 51 (and a 48 on one rare occasion) have seen the side 5th from bottom stay up. Looking at the 10 match current form table and adding those points to the ones the sides at the bottom have currently and all bar the bottom three could earn enough points to have survived in recent League 1 campaigns. As 6 of the 11 points Crewe acquired from their last 10 games have come from the last 4, an extra win would also see them earn enough points.

So yes I think a 51-52 point mark should just about do it but as just 5 points separate the bottom side with the last team that is safe, any of these sides can earn enough points to secure survival at the same rate they are going currently, they will too so we must aim for more!
