The word Dire, seemed to crop up in the reports I read , great 3 points but I think maybe a major overhaul is going to be required, starting at the top and going all the way through the organization come the end of May if were serious about going up next year.

Had my first trip to stadium MK on tuesday! 10 minute car journey from home! An awful game to watch, but inspired defending by the lads! With only one bar in the away end they are going to struggle when the 10,000 Wolves fans arrive on saturday!!!

I'm going to that game !! My partner is a lifelong Wolves fan and I'm in no doubt I'll be watching a second defeat for MKD this week. It's a great stadium and I think you'll find not all the bars we're open for GFC but I've no time for the practice of putting visiting supporters up in the first tier, leaving the lower level empty.
Presumably that's an attempt to reduce the vocal support that visiting teams get so it was an extra pleasure when we beat them.

I wondered we do that too. Every wayward strike at goal at the Town end results in hunt the ball!

The stadium did look poor virtually empty. And they had plans to increase it's capacity. It's all very well trying lure big events but they need the bread and butter regular income to support it first.

I wonder how much a clean sheet had to with the way the game was played. MK Dons had failed to score in their previous 3 at home and lost them all (also losing 8 from 16) so a clean sheet for them was crucial. The Radio Kent commentator said Stuart Nelson was absolutely desperate to earn a clean sheet away from home so I guess we may have had 2 sides playing to keep a clean sheet. A 0-0 would probably have done us in all honesty but we nicked it. What a fantastic backheel by Cody to get up the goal by the way! Superb.

Agree about the Cody back heel, very quick thinking and great execution.
The Dons stadium will get about 20,000 in there tomorrow according to latest estimates and should be a good atmosphere with about 50:50 split of fans. Just wish it was GFC playing to this size of crowd.

I guess as long as there is plenty of policing and the council have issued the safety certificates there shouldn't be much of an issue amount the amount of away numbers. If the stadium could take more then it makes sense, we almost had a 50:50 split at Burton last season. If that amount want to come and can easily be accommodated then why not.

Not sure why so many want to go there though. It was the most visited ground in League 1 and 2 last season.

Because there is always room for away fans I guess and it is pretty central. Surely Winkle should be trying to build a bigger home fan base, or maybe he doesn't want to in case he wants to move again?

50:50 split is easy because the capacity is around 30,000 so separating two lots of 10,000 is not a problem. Average home gate is roughly 8500 and they will get another 1500 or so for the Wolves game. We should have such problems.

Not sure what happened to Plough Lane but Wimbledon ground shared with Palace for many years so they didn't have a ground really. I think AFC Wimbledon ground share with a non-league club so no, they didn't take it over.
