Is anyone aware of any captain who has lifted the FA Cup and then gone on to win it as a manager? Im not aware anybody and if Hull City beat Arsenal I think Steve Bruce could be the first?

Kenny D defiantly, what about Terry Venables or Don Revie ,were they captains of their teams ?

I thought Dalgleish until I did some research last night. I guess we might find out soon. Apparently Darren Ferguson was the first person to win the Football League Trophy as a captain and a manager.

Steve Bruce could be the second!!!!! After further research....
Joe Mercer was captain for Arsenal when they won the cup in 1950 and manager for Manchester City in 1969!!!!
