Apologies for lateness of the draw but the cup kicks off on Tuesday as I always try to do them when there are 2 home games in a row. It has been a bit busy lately and I am only just getting round to it. Please keep an eye out over the next few hours to find the draw which starts in the Peterboro match on Tuesday. Good luck.

12 sides made it through after tonight's result but at the first hurdle we have 2 massive shocks! Both of our finalists last season have been dumped out of the cup immediately with top ranked Kentucky_Fried Gills going out to Marriott's Marauders ranked 58 places below and our inaugral winner from last season (7th rank Gills All The Way) going out to Gilleon!!!!

Other notable results saw Bunbury go out, Shoutingman overcome Elgrande, Gary Piper ease through and Soton Gill dispose of GillGrl.

For those whose ties included draws or defeats your ties are in replays in the Walsall match on Saturday (the first tie in red in the results page). As almost every player predicted a Gills win, most go to a 3rd replay!

After the big shock of losing both finalists after the very first game, the third replay saw the likes of Cadburyman, Goalmouth and Matt Bowles make it through to round 2 but Kezz and Rob P both go out.

The draw for round 2 has been made and can be found below. Matches will be played 21st October (Preston - H), 25th October (Crawley - H) and 1st November (Fleetwood - A).

6 sides have progressed after the first replay: Lidbid, Carano, Fan of Mulligan, Matt Bowles, NS Gills 870 and God Alone all make it through to Round 3 after correctly predicting draws in yesterday's game. 5 ties are still to be decided during the Fleetwood game on Saturday. Gravesend Grommit and Roff's Ruffians correctly predicted a loss today so make it through. The 4 other ties saw the home side progress on the home advantage rule after 3 matches where neither side correctly predicted the result or both sides correctly predicted it. Congratulations to Anyone's Guess, Netbuster, Gilleon and Sherni.

The third round will be played over Christmas and the draw will be made in the next couple of weeks.
