Gillingham are still unbeaten at home, we got a point on Saturday and kept a clean sheet and that pretty much is it as far as positives go, it is also a good sign that Gillingham can play poorly against Oldham Athletic and Walsall and still get points on the board and had anyone offered us four points before these two home games then we would of defiantly taken that (although before these two games I thought Gillingham might have got the four points the other way around and win on Saturday against Walsall and beat Peterborough United on Tuesday Night).
Not a great match to watch at The Weekend and Walsall created the better goal-scoring opportunities and I just felt that the pace, the tempo, the movement, the intensity, the quality and the atmosphere inside Priestfield Stadium was flat on Saturday, it almost felt like that the players had emotionally, physically and mentally drained themselves after a fantastic performance and result against Peterborough United on Tuesday Night, you could probably include the supporters into that as well because if you compared the atmosphere in our 0-0 draw with Walsall to the atmosphere around the ground for our 2-1 win against Peterborough United on Tuesday Night, there is a big big difference between the two matches.
Our last three results against Walsall have been draws, 2-2 at Priestfield Stadium last season, 1-1 at The Bescot and 0-0 on Saturday, so does that mean we will draw -1 - -1 at The Bescot in January
