Postby Kent_UckyFriedGills » Mon Jul 20, 2015 3:48 pm

Gills have signed young Chelsea defender/midfielder Jordan Houghton on loan from Chelsea until January 3rd.He was on the fringes of their first Team last season,so this looks a good signing.

Signing to many young players, time to bring in some older players to help GFC gain promotion THIS YEAR, not going to do it with a bunch of kids.

I wouldn't say Dack is too young as he has been brought up with the club. Loft and Cody have plenty of experience at this level and so too do the goal-keepers so how much experience do you need? The young players will make mistakes but learn from the experienced players. They will take time to bed in but at that age they have no fear and get up much quicker after being knocked down. Recent years we have had too many journeymen ending their career at the club and being utterly useless. I'd rather a team of young hungry players with a point to prove any day!

Our young players are quite experienced,so it`s not like they only have 50 appearances between them all as players.

Dack- 102 appearances
Hessenthaler- 64 appearances
Luke Norris- 79 appearances
Brennan Dickenson- 72 appearances
John Egan- 77 appearances
Ryan Jackson- 180 appearances
Noircat Premier League Champion 2007,and 2014.Noircat FA Cup (Runner Up 2014).Promoted to the Premier League (Runner Up 2017,and 2020 in the Championship).
